Asset Report
Kakap
Report summary
Kakap PSC incorporates a group of mature oil and gas fields in the Natuna Sea. The block is located near the Indonesia-Malaysia maritime border, an area that also contains the Natuna Sea Block A and South Natuna Sea Block B PSCs. The KH, KF, KG, and KRA fields have been developed via single, fixed platforms that feed the shared Kakap Natuna FPSO. Other discoveries (KRN, KG-5AX, KR, and Nelayan) were brought onstream in 1997/1998 as subsea tie-backs to the KRA platform. Gas production started in 2001 and is exported to Singapore via the West Natuna Transportation System Gas (WNTS) pipeline.
