Report summary
CNPC operates the gas-rich Bagtiyarlyk Area in east Turkmenistan. The PSC was awarded in 2007 as part of a wider agreement for the Turkmenistan-China Gas Pipeline. First gas was in 2009, coinciding with commissioning of the export pipeline to China.Gas sales are at a long-term plateau of more than 1,260 mmcfd (13 bcm a year).
